Our Team

Our Team

Our projects are delivered by bespoke multi-professional teams selected for the needs of our clients and the young people we are engaging. All of our team have extensive youth work experience (between 7 and 25 years) and a typical team will include an integrative counsellor, a detached youth work specialist, a project manager and sports, arts and music work specialist
practitioners. We put teams together especially for each individual contract so our clients are only paying for the staff they need to deliver the project.

Mission Statement

We started DNA Youth Consultancy for a simple reason - as youth workers we understood the scale of the cuts to youth services over the past decade and how that impacted not just young people but the ability of local authorities, charities and other providers to listen to and learn from young people. We want organisations to see the value of working with young people and giving
them the opportunity to have their voice heard. We offer organisations the ability and opportunity to engage with the
authentic voice of young people through high quality youth work and participatory research. We offer young people both a sympathetic ear and the ability to influence and educate decision-makers on their lived experiences. We offer our team members the opportunity to work in dynamic, multi- professional teams on projects for real change.

Our Director

DNA Youth Consultancy was founded in 2018 by Denny Anthony, a London-based qualified youth worker and former youth officer with more than twenty years’ experience of face-to-face youth work delivery, managing teams and centres and delivering award-winning youth programmes.

Denny says: “I started DNA Youth Consultancy to fill a gap in the youth work sector that ten years of cuts have created. 4,500 youth workers have been lost in the past decade and this loss has exacerbated the gap between young people and local authorities. The purpose of DNA is not just to help bridge that gap and re-connect young people with civic institutions but to demonstrate the effectiveness and importance of high-quality youth work in achieving the best possible outcomes for young people.”
